New Expressions of Obsessive Passion for Watches

The “power design project” is an initiative that encourages Seiko Watch Corporation’s in-house designers to engage in in-depth exploration of new approaches and possibilities in design, free from conventional constraints. This marks the fourth iteration since the project’s revival in 2022, with the designers this time taking on the theme of new expressions of obsessive passion for watches. Throughout its 140-year history, Seiko has responded to the diversity of evolving values with a rich array of designs. Drawing on this legacy, the designers view watches as exceptional products shaped by countless acts of devoted attention to detail or in other words, obsessive passion. As design specialists with a deep love for watches, they have fully applied their expertise to this challenge. By extracting and closely examining the elements unique to watches, they have sought to uncover new forms of appeal. The result is seven watches, each expressing an unprecedented sense of individuality.

We invite you to come and experience first-hand this collection of “passionately and obsessively crafted watches”—each imbued with the designers’ passion and their desire to pioneer new possibilities for timepieces—and learn the stories behind their creation.
